During a quick, 30-minute session, a numbing cream is applied to the skin and patients feel light pressure and a mild buzzing sensation with minimal discomfort as the SkinPen’s micro needles pierce the skin and increase blood flow. After treatment, most patients notice slight redness, similar to a mild sunburn, and may experience dryness, tightness and peeling which typically subsides after 24-72 hours.
